Progress is not always visible

My first blog post :)

I keep entering and backspacing words because I'm nervous and excited! This is my first blog post! But I guess these emotions are only natural when I'm embarking on a new journey. Is it for you, too? Luckily, I'm grateful to have friends like you with me.

A dear friend of mine gave me the best words when I was being hard on myself this week. She said "Progress is not always visible, it works behind the scenes." Nothing felt truer and I felt a sigh of relief after her encouragement.

It's like when we plant seeds into the ground, we can't see the roots, and then we see the leaf! Then our minds keep 'wanting' it to grow, forgetting about the journey to nurture. But loving it, caring for it, watering it and not expecting anything from it makes it grow.

I think children, adults and everyone in between is like that, too. We all want to "see" and "be" a certain way, especially when it comes to making art. There are many benefits to art, but the magic of experiencing it-- whether you love looking at it or enjoy making it-- is not thinking about it. "What?? Not think??," You think? I know!! It's so contrary to how this world works. (Side note: Doctors, number crunchers and bridge builders need to think on their job :) But I'll tell you a secret, it works for me and I want to inspire people of all ages to benefit from experiencing this magic to work for them, too.

If you're genuinely interested in knowing me better, I reserve the "honey" for my sweet friends who subscribe to "Bee" Loved Mail. Here, I share short video blogs, gifts, updates and other things. Friendships mean a lot to me, and I want to connect with and get to know you personally.

Quality over Quantity, Friends over followers. Do you feel this way, too? If so, let's be friends :)

Thank you for reading.
